As we welcome the New Year, StEER would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the natural hazards engineering community for its contributions to the Structural Extreme Events Reconnaissance (StEER) Network’s mission over the past year. In 2025, StEER responded to four events, two earthquakes, one tornado, and one hurricane. These responses involved 84 individuals, who we recognize below, along with the full citations for the products from these events and their DOIs on DesignSafe.

In 2025, StEER Directors Mohammad Alam, Tracy Kijewski-Correa, David Roueche, Khalid Mosalam, David Prevatt, and Ian Robertson also published a new article in a special NHERI collection in Frontiers of the Built Environment, introducing the new unified assessment framework.
