Upcoming Webinars on Hurricane Responses

StEER is pleased to announce the first of a series of webinars to prepare StEER members to participate in event responses. Next week, StEER will host a pair of one-hour webinars for hurricane event responses.

The first webinar, on Tuesday, August 27 at 2:00 PM (Eastern Time), will introduce StEER and step through its deployment process for hurricanes, emphasizing the role of its Field Assessment Structural Teams (FASTs). While the webinar is open to all StEER members, Level 3 and 4 members with experience in hurricane reconnaissance are strongly encouraged to attend this webinar. If interested in joining the webinar, please register HERE.

The second webinar, on Thursday, August 29 at 2:00 PM (Eastern Time), will similarly introduce StEER and step through its deployment process for hurricanes, emphasizing the role of its Virtual Assessment Structural Teams (VASTs). While the webinar is open to all StEER members, Level 1 StEER members are especially encouraged to attend, as participation in VASTs builds the experience necessary to qualify for Field Assessment Structural Teams (FASTs) in the future. Those interested in attending this webinar should register HERE.

Registrants for either webinar will receive a follow-up email with dial-in information and materials to prepare for the webinar. The webinar will be recorded and released on the StEER website for those who were not able to attend.
